Coach Berkowitz will be entering his second season with the Pioneers.  Taylor will be working with the defensive core throughout the season.  Taylor served as the Head Coach of Wayne Hills High School last season.  Prior to Wayne Hills, Taylor served as Head Coach for Passaic Valley High School.  In 2010, Coach Berkowitz helped guide the Quarry Cats U16 team to a Bronze Medal at the USA Hockey Girls National Championships in Michigan.  Taylor welcomes the challenges and looks forward to starting a new stint back at the collegiate level with the Pioneers.  He previously had two separate stints at the collegiate level where he was on the staff of Montclair State, one which included a 2000-2001 MACHA championship and undefeated season.  His familiarity with Coach Ballance's coaching style and years of coaching with Joe over the years makes it a seamless transition for the Pioneers. 

Besides coaching at the collegiate level, Coach Berkowitz has coached several select youth teams, which produced Prep School and College players as well as OHL, QMJHL, and NHL draft picks. 

In addition to coaching with the Pioneers this season, Coach Berkowitz will be coaching with the Brewster Bulldogs U16 Girls team.

Coach Taylor works as a Social Studies teacher at Wayne Hills High School.
